The Bharath Institute of Industrial Safety Management (BIISM) is dedicated to providing top-notch education and training in the field of industrial safety. The institute offers a comprehensive Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Health (PGDIS), which is a one-year program divided into two semesters.
The curriculum is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to ensure workplace safety and compliance with state and local regulations. The program covers various aspects of industrial safety, including risk assessment, safety regulations, maintenance checks, and quality control.
Eligibility criteria for admission include a minimum of 50% marks in BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, B.Sc/M.Sc, AMIE, or BCA from recognized institutions. The program is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), and the semester-end exams are conducted by VTU at the Visvesvaraya Institute of Advanced Technology.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded a degree certificate by VTU and can pursue careers as safety engineers, safety officers, safety advisors, and safety executives in various industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and more.
